"Because we live in one of the richest countries in the world and because we are unusually blessed with health, safety, and prosperity, it's our collective duty to help those who are less fortunate.

Business, with its incredible efficiency and effectiveness, can be a powerful partner for worthwhile nonprofits. The synergy of business and nonprofits makes for a powerful and unstoppable force."

- Elizabeth Amini, Managing Partner Brighter World Consulting LLC

Brighter World Consulting (BWC) requests that clients donate to worthy charities a percentage of the increased revenue that BWC helps generate. BWC will then match the donation. While our clients are free to choose any charity they wish, the following are nonprofit organizations that BWC highly recommends. All of our featured charities have been showcased in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, or Worth magazine as exemplary organizations. As strategists, we are impressed by their efficiency and effectiveness.

Mercy Corps alleviates suffering, poverty, and oppression by helping people build secure, productive, and just communities around the world. Mercy Corps is on the front line of global crises such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and hurricanes.

Kiva provides microfinancing to entrepreneurs in developing countries and has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and on the BBC News. Through Kiva.org, BWC has extended zero-interest loans to entrepreneurs in Kenya, Ghana, Togo, Azerbiajan, and Mexico. Click on the Kiva link to see the entrepreneurs we have partnered with.

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) operates America's only national hotline for victims of sexual assault and abuse. The hotline (800-656-HOPE) offers free, confidential counseling and support 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the country. Founded by Tori Amos and Atlantic Records in 1994, RAINN has helped more than 1 million assault survivors and was declared one of the top 100 nonprofit organizations in the United States by Worth magazine.
